In a post on X, Sarvam AI co-founder Pratyush Kumar revealed that the company is expanding beyond AI software tools into consumer hardware. Introduced on the opening day of the summit, Sarvam Kaze has been described as an “AI-first” device. The company confirmed that its first AI wearable will launch in India in May, although the exact release date has not yet been disclosed.
Ahead of its official launch, Sarvam AI has teased the design and select features of the smart glasses. The device appears in a black colour variant and is equipped with dual cameras, which may support video recording, image capture, and AI-assisted visual queries. A front-facing cutout is also visible, which is likely to function as an LED recording indicator.
According to Kumar, the Sarvam Kaze smart glasses have been designed and built entirely in India. He also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first person to try the device during his visit to inaugurate the AI Impact Summit 2026.
The upcoming wearable will feature built-in microphones and speakers, enabling users to interact with the AI assistant through voice commands. Kumar stated that Sarvam Kaze can “listen, understand, respond, and capture” what the user sees. Additionally, the glasses will allow users to create custom experiences through Sarvam’s AI platform, enhancing personalisation and functionality.
