BENGALURU: A Vishnu Sai Theja, a student of Narayana CO School, Kaveri Bhavan, Bengaluru, has secured the top rank in Karnataka in JEE Main 2026 Phase 1, achieving an impressive overall NTA percentile of 99.9992454. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the JEE Main 2026 Phase 1 results on Monday.
Vishnu scored a perfect 100 in Physics, 99.99 in Chemistry, and 99.97 in Mathematics.
Speaking to TNIE, Vishnu shared, “I have always aspired to study at IIT or IISc, and I am particularly interested in computer science and artificial intelligence. I am now preparing for JEE Phase 2. Around 2,50,000 students are shortlisted based on the best scores from Phase 1 and Phase 2. After returning from school, I studied for nearly four hours every day. The teachers at Narayana CO School guided and mentored me thoroughly, and numerous mock tests were conducted to help us prepare effectively.”

Meanwhile, students aiming to secure admission to IITs across the country are now preparing for JEE Main Session 2 and JEE Advanced. Of the 13,55,293 candidates who registered for Phase 1, as many as 13,04,653 appeared for the examination.
